Fine Dining at Willow Grove
"Willow Grove pays homage to food as the eighth lively art." The Baltimore Sun

A dining experience at Willow Grove is special. Heirloom china and crystal, freshly pressed damask table linens, graceful chandeliers, and refined service all work together to create an inspired "Old Virginia" backdrop for the artistry of our chefs, Ben Miller and Dawn Schilling. Starters set the tone for what is to come: smoked rag mountain trout cake with horseradish cream, crayfish etoufee with herbed scones, acorn and butternut squash bisque with country ham. A salad of mixed baby greens with fresh vinaigrette refreshes the palate before the main course. Rappahannock trout stuffed with crab, crayfish and shiitakes; peanut-and-pecan-crusted rack of lamb with rosemary jus; grilled breast of duck with apple cider gastrique and sun-dried cranberries are just a few of the superb selections. Fabulous desserts such as chocolate fantasy cake with ganache and crushed walnuts, caramel apple shortcake with homemade ice cream and orange bread putting with creme anglaise are perfect finales to your dining experience. Our regional American wine and spirits list is carefully selected to complement the menu, which changes weekly. After dinner or Sunday brunch, relax with a mint julep or coffee in the wide upstairs hall, where the brocade-covered Sheridan chairs and sofas cluster near a baby grand piano. Following the centuries-old Southern tradition, take a stroll out onto the veranda or into the garden or dance cheek-to-cheek on the veranda.
