One that frees you from hassle. One that eliminates the need for you to make countless decisions about routine elements. One that will let you relax and enjoy your big day.

Our service is unrivaled. You will not be bothered with renting the necessities: tables, chairs, linens, china, glasses, etc. We have everything you need to make this once-in-a-lifetime day a perfect one. You will not be faced with the added expense of selecting fine table settings. Our collection of antique linens, vintage china, and heirloom silver will be at your disposal. And you will not be confronted with routine decisions. Our staff has the knowledge and experience to tie together all the elements of your wedding--just the way you want it.

The following items are included in the price of the food:
  • Display of assorted cheeses, crackers, fresh vegetables, and fresh fruit
  • Non-alcoholic punch served in antique punch bowl
  • Round cake table layered with antique damask or lace
  • Antique silver cake knife and server
  • Crystal champagne flutes for bridal toast
An event fee of $3,500 will include the following:
 
  • Exclusive use of Victorian gardens, verandahs and first floor of manor house
  • White chairs set up in formal Victorian garden for wedding ceremony
  • Trellis set under willow tree between ancient boxwoods
  • White 40' x 60 ' tent set on brick patio
  • White 20' x 40' tent set on lawn
  • Lighting, windowed sides, heaters, and fans for both tents
  • Tables with white floor-length cloths topped with heirloom damask or lace
  • Silver, crystal, and antique china table settings
  • Use of Baby Grand piano in foyer
  • Coordination of all aspects of your affair
 
 
Additional charges will be incurred for the following:
 
  • Beverage Consumption
  • Floral Arrangements, Trellis Decorations, and Tent Decorations

The Fine Print

Even though we strive to accommodate each bride and groom individually and to have as few rules as possible, some structure is unavoidable. We are, however, very flexible and can bend the rules when necessary to meet your special requirements.

In order to be sure that we will have everything you will need, we should be notified of the exact number of guests at least fourteen days prior to your wedding. This will be considered a guarantee for which you will be charged even if fewer guests attend. Additional guests will be charged at an agreed-upon per-person rate.

We do not allow any food or beverages to be brought onto or taken off our premises. In addition, because the sale and service of alcoholic beverages is regulated by the Virginia Alcoholic Control Board and, as a licensee, Willow Grove Inn is responsible for the administration of those regulations, it is our policy, that no alcoholic beverages may be brought into the Inn for any purpose.

Due to the nature of wedding receptions, we cannot accommodate other houseguests during a late afternoon or evening reception. We offer therefore ask that all guestrooms be reserved at a special rate for the family, wedding party, or guests.

Food and beverage prices are subject to 8.5 percent sales tax . Room prices are subject to an additional 2 percent local lodging tax. A 20 percent service gratuity is added to all charges.

A non-refundable deposit of $2500 will secure the date. A deposit of 50 percent the total room tariff will reserve the guestrooms. A payment of approximately one-third of the estimated charges will be due upon contract signing and a payment to equal approximately 50 percent of all estimated charges will be due 3 months after contract signing. A payment to equal 75 percent of all estimated charges is due sixty days prior to the wedding. The balance is due 15 days prior to the wedding.

In order to eliminate any confusion regarding our cancellation policy, please note that our limited accommodations allow us to book only one event each weekend. Our inn is small and cancellations affect us greatly since they preclude our booking anything else for that weekend. Therefore, please note that all deposits are nonrefundable and that the full amount is due and payable if a cancellation is made less than 120 days from the confirmed date of the event.
